Cancer Research UK Pension Scheme
The Cancer Research UK Pension Scheme (‘the Scheme’) is a defined benefit scheme and is administered by Isio. The Scheme closed to new entrants on 31 December 2009 and to future accrual on 31 March 2015.
Following the new regulations in June 2019, defined benefit schemes are required to publish their Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) from the 1 October 2020.
The purpose of a SIP is to set out the Scheme’s investment strategy, including the investment policies of the Scheme and the investment objectives.
The Trustee of the Cancer Research UK Pension Scheme (the “Scheme”) is further required to produce a yearly statement to set out how, and the extent to which, the Trustee has followed the voting and engagement policies in its Statement of Investment Principles (“SIP”) during the Scheme year. This statement is called implementation statement.
The Implementation statement covering the scheme year from 1 April 2023 until 31 March 2024 and the Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) can be found below.
