ScottishPower and Cancer Research UK joined forces in 2012 with the aim of raising £5m over three years. Over a decade later, the renewable energy company has now raised over £40m for life saving cancer research! This incredible amount has been raised in various ways, from the successful Help Beat Cancer energy tariff to its sponsorship of Race for Life and Stand Up To Cancer, as well as the passionate fundraising of ScottishPower’s employees and suppliers. 

The money raised by ScottishPower continues to be used where it is needed most, but we are delighted that given ScottishPower’s commitment to playing a lead role in tackling climate change through their generation of 100% green electricity, they are helping us shine a light on the impact air pollution has on the development of cancer, including lung cancer in people who have never smoked.  

To celebrate reaching their £40m milestone, ScottishPower produced a special film which shows how together with their customers and employees, they have managed to reach this impressive amount.
