About the Opportunity

Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is committed to putting people affected by cancer at the heart of our work. The Centre for Drug Development (CDD) is responsible for taking new drugs (often first in human) into early phase clinical trials.

Because these new drugs are in such early development, safety is of the utmost importance to us. We want to do everything possible to make sure trial participants are not exposed to any unnecessary risks. As a result, Phase I and II trials can be burdensome for participants and CDD is committed to balance this as much as possible and keep our participants in mind when developing our clinical trials.

One way in which we do this is by working hand in hand with people affected by cancer and patient representatives throughout the development, monitoring and evaluation of clinical trials.

We’re looking for people who are passionate about clinical trials and making them better for patients. By working with us, you could help develop tomorrow’s cancer treatment and help us make sure everything we do is patient centred.

What You’ll Do

As a panel member, you’ll:

  • Share your views on how clinical trials might impact participants.
  • Help us make trials more patient-friendly.
  • Join monthly online meetings and occasional consultations.
  • Review materials and provide feedback via email.

Monthly meetings: Up to 2 hours
