GP practice and local data

GP and nurse in discussion

Data at practice and local levels can help to inform clinical practice around cancer early diagnosis.

General Practice Profiles for Cancer contain a range of information relevant to cancer in primary care, including: cancer incidence, prevalence and mortality; 2ww referral, conversion and detection rates; screening rates; demographics and other data. They were developed to inform clinical practice particularly around early detection and diagnosis.

They are produced annually by PHE based on the latest available information and compile data from different data sources and different time periods. Public and professional versions are available.
