Volunteer at Shine Night Walk

General Volunteer
Our general volunteers support our participants where and when help is needed most during the night of the event. If you are proactive and happy to get stuck in then join the Shine Volunteering Team for a fantastic experience.
Course Route Marshal
Course volunteers are the guiding light for Shine Night Walkers who direct and motivate walkers. You'll be instrumental in ensuring participants complete the course safely, as well as offering friendly and much needed words of encouragement.
Cycle Team Volunteer
If you have a passion for cycling and fancy a challenge, the cycle team volunteer role is the opportunity for you! You’ll offer key support to our participants and course volunteers throughout the night.
Pit Stop Volunteer
The pit stop volunteer role is perfect for groups who want to work together.
Pit stops along the course allow walkers to get refreshments, take a toilet break and have a moment to take in those iconic sights at night. We need you to help hand out snacks, offer water, and manage queues so nobody has to wait too long.
Venue Volunteer
The venue volunteer role offers a huge variety of opportunities.
From putting up marquees, handing out course maps, those important medals, cheering walkers and supporting participants to get home safely. This is a perfect role if you enjoy working as a team whilst having a smile on your face!
Driver Volunteer
Want to put your driving skills to good use?
Our driver volunteers help us to look after Shine Night Walkers and fellow volunteers by driving our welfare and medical support vehicles, as well as operating our essential Bag Drop service to keep walkers’ valuables safe.
Volunteer as a group
Want to share the experience with friends and family? You can sign up as a group, even if it’s just two of you.
Choose your unique group name and include it in the sign up form so that we know you want to work together on the night. Please make sure every member of your group signs up so we have all the information we need to look after you on the night.

"I enjoyed every moment of volunteering at Shine Night Walk because it was a fun evening giving my time to a great cause. The other volunteers were great fun to be around as well as being on hand to help walkers in need, congratulate them on their achievements and spur them on in those last few minutes. Such an amazing atmosphere all night."
